Support UW Law Library

Monetary Donations

Monetary gifts to the Law Library enrich the research and learning experience of our community. Your support advances student education, fuels faculty scholarship, provides public access to vital legal resources, and fosters a welcoming learning environment. Please be assured that we carefully allocate funds where they are needed most to maximize the impact of your gift.

You can make a financial gift to the UW Law School Library Fund through the UW Foundation. Every gift, regardless of size, leaves a lasting impact. Your gift nurtures an environment where research and learning can thrive, driving innovation and excellence in the UW Law School community and beyond. We are deeply grateful for your support.

Books and Materials Donations

The Law Library considers gifts of books and other materials if they conform to our selection guidelines and with the understanding that no conditions be attached to the donated items. If a donated item does not fit our collection criteria, we may pass it on to the UW Madison Friends of the Libraries Book Sale, provide it to law students during a book giveaway, or recycle it at our discretion.

If you are interested in donating books or other materials, please contact Vicky Coulter. The Law Library does not assign a monetary value to donated materials. We can, however, provide a letter confirming the contents and condition of the donation.
