Law Librarians can offer group and/or individual
instructional sessions on using library resources to members of the law
school community, UW-Madison, and the general public.
Sessions may be tailored to meet your specialized
information needs and can be held within the Law Library or at an outside
location.

one week before desired session date.

Examples of instructional sessions may include, but are not limited
to, any combination of:

- Using electronic resources (formulating searches
using keywords and connectors)

- Types of legal resources (primary v. secondary
authority, print v. electronic resources)

- Specific electronic research tools (Lexis/Nexis,
Westlaw, MadCat Library Catalog, etc.)
|
- Finding materials on a specific legal topic (journal
articles, books, etc.)
|
- Legal research on the Internet (evaluating authority,
web site recommendations)
|
- Recommended legal resources by topic (school
law, children/family law, tax law, etc.)
|
- Cite checking for Law Review & Law Journals
