Federal Register  Full text of the Federal Register is available via GPO Access from 1994-present.  Search by keyword, date, and section.

United States Government Manual  Comprehensive information about federal agencies, quasi-official agencies, international organizations in which the United States participates, and various boards, commissions, and committees.  Search by departmental table of contents or keyword.

Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents This GPO Accesssite contains statements, messages, and other Presidential materials released by the White House during the preceding week.

U.S. Courts - Federal Judiciary Homepage   This page, maintained by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, serves as a clearinghouse for information from and about the Judicial Branch of the U.S. Government. Contains background information about the court, publications, and links to Circuit Court case law.

History of the Federal Judiciary   The Federal Judiciary Center compiles this collection of materials which includes a brief history of the types of courts and their role in the federal judiciary, a legislative history of each court, landmark judicial legislation, and a federal judges biographical database.

All Courts

Public Library of Law Full-text U.S. federal and state cases, statutes, regulations, court rules, constitutions and legal forms. All materials are freely available on the Internet, however dates of coverage vary.

Justia - A legal portal featuring searchable U.S. Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and district court cases and court filings. Regulations from the Federal Register are also available. Justia also features a legal blog search engine. All searches offer customizable RSS feeds.

lexisOne  Lexis-Nexis provides free case law dating back to 1996, with U.S. Supreme Court decisions from 1790. Retrieve by citation or search by keyword. Also includes a collection of free legal forms. Requires free registration.

Supreme Court

Supreme Court of the United States   This official Supreme Court site offers documents from the current term, such as, bench and slip opinions, dockets, calendar, and rules. Opinions are available the same day they are released from the bench.

Cornell University Supreme Court Collection  Up-to-the-minute full text opinions from 1990-present are arrayed by topic and party name.  Information from the current court term includes opinions arranged by release date, orders, schedule of oral arguments, and court calendar.

FindLaw Supreme Court Decisions  Full text of all opinions from 1893-present.   Browse by year or search by official citation, party name, or keyword.

Selected Historic Decisions of the Supreme Court  Cornell University compiles landmark opinions from 1794-present arranged by topic, party name, and opinion author.

Oyez  Oral arguments from 1955-present are available in audio and accompanying full text.  Search by subject, citation, and case name.

FindLaw's Supreme Court Center  Collection of primary materials by and about the US Supreme Court from the 1999-2000 term.  Includes full text decisions, orders, briefs, rules, court docket, etc.

Supreme Court Briefs  Full text US Supreme Court briefs filed by the Solicitor General from July 1998-present and selected briefs from 1982-96.  Search by keyword, type, and subject.

BriefServe   Fee based service offering recent full text US Supreme Court documents, including briefs, testimony, petitions, orders, etc.  Docket sheets are available free of charge, but all other documents are offered at a cost.  Registration is required.

Seventh Circuit  Official page of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Seventh Circuit Opinions Opinions from 1987-present. Search by docket number or party name and browse by date.

Cornell University's US Code  Browse the full text of the code by title and section, retrieve by citation, or keyword search individual titles or the entire code.  Also browse the Popular Name table to find common names of legislative acts with links to the corresponding code sections.

GPO Access' US Code   Keyword search the full-text of the US Code as in effect for 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998 or browse the current Code.

United States House of Representatives' US Code  Search the full text of the code using a combination of specific citation fields, including title, section, subtitle, chapter, subchapter, part, subpart, division, rule, form, and appendix.

Avalon Project Major Documents Collection  Yale Law School has reproduced this collection of US-related historical documents relevant to fields of law, history, economics, politics, and diplomacy.  Arranged by topic, the collection includes the Federalist Papers, Presidential papers, US and state constitutions, etc.
