Restricted Access Periods

In order to provide adequate study space for law students, access to the Law Library will be restricted during the exam period to law students, law faculty, and individuals needing to do legal research or use the federal documents collection.

Restricted access begins approximately three weekends prior to the last exam date. The policy remains in effect until the last exam date. For the exact dates, please refer to Law Library calendar.

During these hours, Law Library monitors will be posted outside the entrance to the library on the fifth floor. Law students--please have your UW ID card with your green gargoyle label ready to identify yourself (the labels can be obtained at the Law Library Circulation Desk).
